Swamp Quilts is based out of beautiful Gainesville, Florida.  It just so happens that Gainesville is the proud home of the Florida Gators.  The Gator’s home field is lovingly referred to as “The Swamp”, and is this site’s namesake.  Both my husband, Greg, and I graduated from the University of Florida.  We live with our three children dogs, who will likely make numerous appearance, both in photos and blog posts.

Creating t-shirt quilts was something that I fell into, thanks to my husband’s impressive collection of tee’s from his high school and AAU basketball days.  For more on that check out my first post T-Shirts and Quilting and Memories, Oh My!

T-Shirt quilts hold a special place in my heart.  Not only are they wonderful because they are quilts, but they are filled with the memories and stories of your life.  Curling up on the couch under a blanket of your life’s special events is particularly cozy.  Plus, you can clean out your old t-shirt stash and upcycle those shirts to save space and the environment!
